Erin S. Bales was born and raised in the wilds of the Chicago suburbs. (Have you seenHome AloneorThe Breakfast Club? It’s a jungle out there.)
After surviving her formative years, she graduated from Illinois State University with a B.A. in English and an M.S. in Children’s Literature and then worked in libraries for a few years before returning to school. Recently, she graduated from Seton Hill University with an M.F.A. in Writing Popular Fiction and now spends her days writing and working online as an editor for a fiction publisher.
She loves complex female characters (“complex” is the new “strong”), reading (stories are life), travel (especially to cold, snowy places), watching (too much) TV, playing (thinking, talking about, obsessing over) BioWare video games, tasting odd snack foods (squid crisps, anyone?), and parenthetical asides.
